Madrid, September 30 2026 - It takes a lot of monsters to bring Halloween to life. At TusenFryd, around 100 of them have to be recruited and trained before the season can even begin.

When Halloween arrives at the Norwegian park, the regular attractions are joined by scary mazes, a monster parade, and an experience created especially for younger visitors. And on selected Horror Nights, Halloween takes on an even bigger role as monsters and performers become part of the experience throughout the park.

But creating that atmosphere starts long before the first guest arrives. Behind the scenes, teams are working not only on the physical transformation of the park, but also on finding and preparing the people who will bring its Halloween characters to life.

Erik Andersen, Marketing Director at TusenFryd, tells us more about Halloween 2026 and what it takes to unleash 100 monsters into the park.

What makes Halloween at TusenFryd different from anywhere else?

It is the combination of everything guests already love about a day at TusenFryd with experiences created especially for Halloween.

Our regular attractions continue to be part of the day, but Halloween brings another layer to the park, with scary mazes, our monster parade, and a maze designed especially for children.

That mix means guests can experience TusenFryd in a completely different atmosphere during the Halloween season, while still enjoying the attractions that brought them to the park in the first place.

If you could recommend just one Halloween experience that guests absolutely shouldn’t miss this year, what would it be – and why?

It would have to be one of our Horror Nights.

This is when guests can really experience the Halloween atmosphere at TusenFryd, with our mazes, monsters, and other Halloween entertainment coming together across the park.

What are you introducing or doing differently for Halloween 2026?

For 2026, our focus is on making the entire Halloween experience even better.

Rather than concentrating on one individual addition, we are working across our Halloween offering to improve the content and the overall guest experience.

That means looking at the season as a whole and continuing to develop the different elements that come together to create Halloween at TusenFryd.

Halloween takes months of work behind the scenes. What might surprise our guests about what it takes to transform the park for the season?

Probably the sheer number of people involved in bringing our Halloween characters to life.

Every year, we recruit and train around 100 people who will become the monsters guests encounter in the mazes and during the parade.

Finding the right candidates is only the beginning. They then need to be prepared for their roles and for the experience we want to create for our guests. It is a huge people effort behind something that, when Halloween arrives, should simply feel like the monsters have taken over TusenFryd.
