Madrid, October 26 2026 -What if the scariest things this Halloween were not monsters, witches, or ghosts – but some of the real threats facing our planet?
At Faunia, Halloween 2026 is turning Trick or Treat into an opportunity to discover more about nature.
As the park celebrates its 25th anniversary, its Halloween program puts children at the center of the story. Through theatrical talks taking place across five of Faunia’s ecosystems, young visitors will encounter topics including pollution, deforestation, and endangered species – combining learning with the fun and imagination of Halloween.
And this year, they will have some special company. In collaboration with SuperThings, the experience will also bring one of its most recognizable characters, Enigma, to Faunia.
Mª José Luis, Communications Director at Faunia, tells us how the team is giving Halloween an educational twist in 2026.
What makes Halloween at Faunia different from anywhere else?
At Faunia, we use Halloween as another way to bring children closer to animals and nature.
Our Trick or Treat experience combines the fun of Halloween with theatrical storytelling across some of the park’s different ecosystems. Rather than focusing simply on traditional Halloween scares, the stories introduce children to real challenges facing the natural world, including pollution, deforestation, and endangered species.
It means families can enjoy the Halloween atmosphere while children discover something about the world around them at the same time.
If you could recommend just one Halloween experience that guests absolutely shouldn’t miss this year, what would it be – and why?
I would recommend taking part in our Trick or Treat theatrical talks.
They take place across five very different areas of Faunia – Polar Ecosystem, The Jungle, Night, Mysteries Underground, and Venom – using the animals and ecosystems around us as part of the experience.
Each one gives children an opportunity to discover a different story and environmental challenge in a playful, accessible way.
And, of course, there is a treat at the end: after taking part, our younger visitors can collect a SuperThing gift, while supplies last.
What are you introducing or doing differently for Halloween 2026?
This year, we are celebrating Halloween in collaboration with SuperThings.
Alongside our themed Trick or Treat activities, visitors will be able to meet Enigma, one of the most recognizable characters from the SuperThings universe, during a special Meet & Greet at the park.
It adds another element of fantasy and fun to a Halloween experience designed especially with families and children in mind.
Halloween takes months of work behind the scenes. What might surprise our guests about what it takes to transform the park for the season?
For us, the challenge is not simply to decorate the park for Halloween. It is about finding a way to make the season feel authentically Faunia.
That means bringing together Halloween, theatrical storytelling, our different ecosystems, and important environmental themes in a way that remains engaging and accessible for children.
The result is an experience where entertainment and learning become part of the same story.
