How “Journey to the Forbidden Chamber” Is Bringing Hollywood Magic Back to Movie Park Germany

Madrid, June, 30, 2026 – Just one month after opening its doors, Journey to the Forbidden Chamber is already becoming one of the standout experiences of the season at Movie Park Germany.

Launched as part of the park’s evolution of its “Hollywood in Germany” identity, the new Paramount-themed attraction has introduced guests to an immersive film studio adventure combining cinematic storytelling, multimedia effects, authentic Hollywood atmosphere, and interactive experiences inspired by the world-famous Paramount Pictures Studios. Since opening in mid-May, the attraction has generated strong reactions from guests, media, and fans alike, reinforcing Movie Park Germany’s position as one of Europe’s most unique movie-based theme parks.

Replacing the former The Lost Temple, the new experience was designed to create a more modern, accessible, and immersive attraction for families and movie lovers of all ages. From realistic sets and original props to the final action-packed multimedia sequence, guests are invited to step directly into the world of filmmaking and become part of the story themselves.

We spoke with Movie Park Germany Director of Marketing & Sales Manuel Prossotowicz about the attraction, guest reactions, and what this new chapter means for Movie Park Germany.

How would you describe the first reactions from guests?

According to guest feedback, the attraction successfully enhances the park’s Hollywood and film identity, bringing Movie Park’s vision and studio storytelling into sharper focus. Guests feel as though they are directly on the set of a film studio. Paramount Pictures, one of the key players in Hollywood, is an essential part of the new attraction, turning the ride and studio setting into an authentic experience.

What elements of the attraction seem to resonate most strongly with visitors?

The preshow is one of the most popular parts among guests, incorporating video mapping, fire, and laser effects. It is one of the most surprising elements of the storytelling and really immerses guests more deeply in the scenery and on-set productions of a film studio. In this sequence, the action builds and guests feel like extras in a new fictional movie before moving on to the final adventure scene, where they find themselves in the depth of the temple and experience the new film produced by Paramount Pictures.

Why was it important to reinvent this attraction and introduce a new Paramount experience?

Paramount Pictures is known for spectacular cinematography and numerous event film productions. It is a flagship of Hollywood itself, which matches Movie Park's DNA as a film and amusement park. We are extremely proud to have one of the most famous studios represented at Movie Park. Back then, it all began with the “Movie Magic” attraction, which became a real classic among guests and offered a glimpse behind the scenes of Hollywood. Thirty years later, in the anniversary year of 2026, a new studio experience can transport all movie fans into the world of event films and make it even more accessible.

Looking ahead, what role does Journey to the Forbidden Chamber play in the future vision for Movie Park Germany?

With Journey to the Forbidden Chamber, Movie Park Germany is continuing to evolve its identity as a destination where cinema, storytelling, and immersive entertainment come together to create unforgettable memories for guests of all generations.
